Introducing Rose and Grace Photography Hello, I’m Tony Young of Rose and Grace Photography - the other half to Catherine Young of Rose and Grace Florists. We have been to so many beautiful weddings where I have photographed all the gorgeous floral arrangements she has created. I want you to feel comfortable with me as your photographer on your most personal and memorable day. I want to make you look as beautiful as possible and give you a set of memorable images that show your personalities alongside all the details that you have worked hard to put together for your wedding. I love meeting people and enjoy creatively working together in an easy, full of laughs, informal way. I can take group shots and line-ups, if you wish, but these often happen as a natural course of the day as friends and family gather in natural groups. I like to keep close to you without being intrusive. If something interesting happens, I will be there to capture it. I also love to keep an eye out for all the unexpected moments and delightful scenes that make every wedding different.

These days, the scope for creativity has massively increased. I'm always excited when I first load my photos onto my Mac and look at the initial results. Working on the images to bring out their best is one of the things that I love. The post-processing is the other side to the actual picture taking and can make or break an image - but having the ‘eye’ and having the artistic ability to know when the moment is right to press the shutter is key.

Just taking the photos is not all. Capturing the day in a photo album of your favourite shots brings a new dimension to the images. Photographs of all the little details add to the main event pictures to give a full story of how the day unfolded. I love working on the layout of the pages to lead the viewer through the story of your day. Each page should have variety in how it is laid out so that you want to keep turning over to see more. An album shows everything in the right order and how you want it to be – not just an unloved collection of prints in a box.
